Wheels of Change: Women’s Professional Driving & Mobility Program

Est. 2026

At Ojaswi Nepal, we believe that mobility is a fundamental right. For many women in Nepal, the lack of transportation skills is a major barrier to accessing jobs, education, and healthcare.

Our Women’s Driving Training Program is designed to shift gears on traditional gender roles. We provide subsidized, professional driving lessons (for both light vehicles and scooters) to women from marginalized backgrounds, equipping them with the skills to navigate both the roads and the job market with confidence.

Beyond the Steering Wheel: What We Provide

1. Professional Skill Development We partner with certified driving centers to ensure women receive high-quality technical training. From basic vehicle maintenance to advanced road safety and traffic laws, our trainees graduate as responsible and skilled drivers.

2. Licensing Support & Legal Literacy Navigating the bureaucracy of getting a driver’s license can be intimidating. Ojaswi provides administrative support and coaching for the written and practical trials, ensuring our candidates are fully prepared to secure their legal documentation.

3. Economic Linkages & Employment Driving isn’t just a life skill; it’s a livelihood. Ojaswi works to connect our graduates with employment opportunities in delivery services, ride-sharing, and private transport sectors, helping them turn their new skills into a sustainable income.

Why This Matters

When a woman learns to drive, she gains more than just a license. She gains freedom of movement, reduced travel time, and improved safety. Most importantly, she becomes a role model in her community, proving that no profession or skill is restricted by gender.

“A woman with a license is a woman with a future. Ojaswi Nepal is proud to be the engine behind their journey toward self-reliance.” — Ojaswi Nepal Leadership
